WORKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MEMBERS
Our mission is to drive sustainable demand for Northern Irish wool in order to maximise returns for our members.

As we all know, time is always against us, and if we can help our farmer-members to gain some back, it is always a positive.

We also appreciate that flock numbers and Ulster Wool membership numbers are very similar which can cause confusion here at the depot, as we are not DAERA, flock numbers are not linked to a member’s wool delivery.

The depot staff have noticed how much more efficient it is as farmers are now arriving with the correct membership number, saving time having to search on the system, which we are happy to do, but if we can provide a more efficient service to our farmer-members can only be a positive outcome.

If you have mis-placed your labels that were sent at the start of the season or didn’t receive any (as they were generated on the previous year’s deliver) please don’t hesitate to contact the depot and we will be happy to provide a sheet of stickers to simply apply to any of the previously issued labels.

We would like to thank our partners at ‘Ulster Wool Growers’ who funded the provision of the trail. As we are all very aware, the price of wool is sadly at a very low-level, so there is no guarantee this project will be replicated again in the future.

We hope that our farmer-members felt the benefit this year as it was a very busy summer with all agricultural shows, markets and activities back in full motion post lockdown.
