At Ulster Wool, our mission is to create sustainable demand for UK wool, helping our members achieve the best possible returns for their products.

We focus on increasing consumer interest in Ulster wool while partnering with brands to encourage its use in high-quality products.

These efforts are designed to deliver greater value to our farmer members.

Maximising wool intake is essential, as it helps lower operating costs and benefits all members. To book your wool, please contact your local Depot or Drop-Off point. Explore our depot network here.

Wool from our members is graded at one of our depots. Individual clips are amalgamated to create commercial graded lots for sale by auction, which ensures a regular supply of large weights of wool of uniform type and quality for the international textile industry.

TIPS WHEN SENDING YOUR WOOL TO US

Pack

Pack your wool sheet full – this will mean that your transport costs less.

Transport

Consider working with your neighbours to combine transport – again, this will mean that your transport costs less. And check our Depot Network to find your nearest Drop Off point.

Reduce Vulnerability

Send your wool into us as soon as it is shorn – storing it means you risk exposing it to damp conditions or damage, which will decrease its value.
