WORKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MEMBERS
Our mission is to drive sustainable demand for Northern Irish wool in order to maximise returns for our members.

Depot Open Day

We are excited to announce that our Muckamore depot will be opening its doors this September for sheep farmers and members of the public to learn about what happens to wool after it is delivered. This is also a great opportunity to meet some of our licensed partners.

During the Open Day, you can participate in a guided tour and gain insights into all aspects of the depot's operations, including wool intake, grading, and packing.

The event will begin with participating schools from ‘Wool Innovators’ being invited for their depot tour, completing their educational journey on wool.

Billy Hewitson, Head of Operations at Ulster Wool, explains the importance of these events:

"Many farmers are unaware of what happens to their wool once it is delivered to the depot. The Open Day provides an opportunity to understand how the grading and selling process works."
